Cargill Funds Veterinary Scholarships

Cargill is funding seven college scholarships for veterinary students.
Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to those graduating with their vet degree in 2014.
Winners will have the opportunikty to attend the American Association of Bovine Practitioners Conference.
Applications are due by June 14.

USDA Pegs 2012 Corn at 94 Million Acres

OMAHA (DTN) -- Farmers are expected to plant 94 million acres of corn this coming crop year, according to USDA's baseline estimates released Monday morning. That's near the low end; some private estimates put corn acreage as high as 96 million acres. USDA also maintained that corn would follow trendline yields and hit 164 bushels per acre in 2012.
