Public Funeral Planned For George Jones

A public funeral is planned later this week for country music legend George Jones.
The country music icon died last Friday in a Nashville hospital following a brief illness. He was 81 years old.
Because he was a beloved figure, his family wants the service to be open to all his friends and fans.
Funeral services for Jones will be held this Thursday, May 2 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville at 10 am Central Time.

Country music legend George Jones has died in a Nashville, TN hospital following a brief illness.
Jones was born in a small Texas town in 1981, and had a long career in the country music industry, spanning more than 60 years. His hits included "The Race is On," and "He Stopped Loving Her Today." He also had a string of hits with his former wife, country singer Tammy Wynette.
George Jones was hospitalized in Nashville just last week, suffering from a fever and irregular blood pressure.
He was 81 years old.

NRCS helps improve water quality in watersheds across the country

WASHINGTON, April 25, 2013 - USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service announced today additional funding for the second year of the National Water Quality Initiative.

NRCS will make available nearly $35 million in financial assistance to farmers and ranchers in 164 priority watersheds this year to implement suites of conservation practices intended to improve water quality.
